A lot of our blog posts mention how locations for photoshoots and wedding venues transport us away from Phoenix and to more magical places, to hidden gardens and Spanish villas. Between the Arizona heat and the everyday hustle and bustle, many of us stop seeing the good parts of the Valley of the Sun.
It’s easy to forget that Arizona has magic of its own.
Sure, desert landscapes aren’t for everyone, but as the land has developed and neighborhoods have been built up, Phoenix has become something more than palo verdes and coyote dens. Places like Red Door Rental in Gilbert celebrate the beauty of the city as it is, not run away from it.
From the sweeping palms above the pool to citrus trees along the wall and the lights strung up on the shaded patio, Red Door Rental is a quintessential Arizona home that really does make a great shoot location.
Of course, no styled shoot looks great from venues alone, no matter how amazing the venue is. We’ve worked with Material Girls Weddings before, and they always do an amazing job with the tablescapes, especially with the pipe and drape from ETC By Emily. The Romantic Floral’s arrangements added pops of color throughout, elevating the already-stunning work to new heights. Plus, the marquee letters from Desert Sage AZ and rentals from AZ Main Events LLC made for a great photo backdrop.
Tablescapes and decor aren’t the only part of styled shoots, though. Take a look at the watercolor-styled invitation suite by Copper Cactus Company and the casually elegant menus and name cards from Party Bee Invitations. Some weddings call for stationary in a more formal style, but with the variety of weddings out there (including an amazing brunch wedding our blog editor attended a few years back!), these are perfect for people who want a little more approachability.
There can’t be a wedding without a bride and groom or their cake, though! Samantha, with a dress from Strut Bridal and her hair and makeup from Lilac Moon Beauty, looked ready for a real wedding the entire day. Her smile was simply stunning, especially alongside Dillon. His sleek suit was provided by Celebrity Tux and Tails, and he was every bit the real groom alongside Samantha. The catering by Gilded Gatherings and cake from Silver Rose Bakery were downright mouthwatering, worthy of any wedding for sure.
This was a great shoot that celebrated Arizona and brought touches of style you might not think about finding in the desert. All our thanks go to The Romantic Floral and Miranda Madison Events for putting it together!
