It’s hard for Carrie and her son Trey to find time together, especially for family photos. Between Carrie’s work as a barista and 11-year-old Trey’s school and extracurriculars, quite a bit of their time together is spent traveling around Gilbert, Arizona. When they finally had a moment to come meet us at the Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch, we knew we had found something special. Carrie knows how to work with people, having run a cake shop while becoming a barista, but there’s nothing quite like the bond between a mother and her child. Both Joanne and I have kids too, so this photoshoot truly felt like a celebration of motherhood. Children are often hard to corral, especially for photos, but Trey displayed maturity beyond his years, standing up with the positivity, respect, and intelligence that Carrie has helped to foster.
If you haven’t been to the Riparian Preserve, you’re missing out. Gorgeous desert greenery, sparkling lakes, and friendly families of ducks provide an amazing backdrop for family photos, picnics, or romantic evening walks. Carrie and Trey had an amazing time at this perfect park, playing together along the waterside. Trey is an only child, and you can tell he’s truly special to Carrie, holding himself with pride beside his mother. Their special love, the bond between mother and son, is clearly on display in these photos. We’re glad we had the chance to work with them, and we hope to be as happy with our children as Carrie and Trey are together.
Carrie, you two looked amazing in your matching outfits. He’s grown so much since the last time we did your family photos! You must be one proud mama! It’s been a pleasure watching your son grow and we look forward to continuing to serve you as your family flourishes!
