Whether you’re friends with someone or in a relationship, you’re going to develop inside jokes and have things that you do together. Sometimes it’s a meal that reminds you of each other or times gone by. Others, it’s an action you do, which brings us to today’s couple, Hunter and Ryan! Their mission during their engagement shoot at The Phoenician in Scottsdale was to find the prettiest location for Ryan to dip Hunter, a tradition they do for photos whenever they’re somewhere special.
Their first date together, a good three years ago, was at Tempe Town Lake, where you can see the gorgeous mountains at Papago Park while you walk along the water. It was also where Ryan proposed! He had a picnic all set up, hoping to surprise Hunter, but she kiiiind of knew he was up to something. It took a bit of effort, but Ryan managed to get Hunter to a gorgeous spot at the lake during one of our epic Arizona sunsets for the perfect proposal. (She said yes!)
We found a fantastic location at The Phoenician with desert landscaping that reminds us of the view from Tempe Town Lake. It made for some amazing photos! It helps that Hunter and Ryan have ridiculous chemistry together. Every time their eyes meet, they get these glowing smiles that warm your heart up. Hunter and Ryan having been practicing their dip, and the pictures don’t disappoint!
We can’t wait for Hunter and Ryan’s wedding next year, but for now, we’ll look back fondly on our first shoot at The Phoenician. Congrats, Hunter and Ryan!! We’ll see you soon!
