The leaves might not change here in Phoenix, but there’s one thing that still screams fall: beautiful weather. It’s the perfect time to be outside–just ask Kristen and Cody! With everything going on in the world, they made the decision to reschedule their wedding bash and made things official in an elopement-style ceremony instead. As time went on, though, they knew they still wanted to have a celebration with their loved ones. Why not go back to Scottsdale’s Andaz Resort, where they’d had their elopement, for a commemoration?
After all, you hope to only get married once, so you probably want to make memories with dear friends. Having already said their vows, though, Kristen and Cody figured they’d go without a ceremony. They’re already husband and wife, and that’s the most important thing, so it was time to party away in celebration of their marriage!
Kristen and her ladies spent the morning in style, sharing a champagne toast in their matching pajamas (and boy, they looked so cute!). The cozy morning, naturally, had to give way to getting ready. Everyone got dressed up to the nines and looked runway-ready. Alli and I fell in love with Kristen’s wedding look: her delicate lace dress with a custom pearl-studded denim jacket!
(Don’t tell anyone, but she was the star of the pre-cocktail-hour photos.)
Not to be outdone, though, their moms revealed that they set up a surprise for Kristen and Cody. They knew the newlyweds had opted out of doing another ceremony, but they still wanted to mark the occasion. It came down to a dear friend to get a section of Kristen and Cody’s vows ready, just a small reminder of the love they share. There was even an arch for a delightful backdrop!
Watching Kristen and Cody mingle with their friends and finally get to celebrate warmed our hearts so, so, so much. They have something lovely, and we can’t wait to see what treasures life brings them.
