When you’ve moved to a new place, there’s usually something comforting about meeting someone from your home. Kate moved to Arizona from Ohio, and when she found herself in a job at Nordstrom, she had the chance to meet plenty of new people from all over the world.
Including Ryan.
Who was also from Ohio.
It’s a small world after all, isn’t it?
These two lovebirds hit it off quickly, and when it came time to go out on that very first date, Ryan was forced to split his attention between the Cheddar Bay Biscuits and the gorgeous girl sitting in front of him at Red Lobster. (He chose the girl. It’s not THAT hard a decision, even if those biscuits are tantalizing.)
Eight years of video games, Netflix binging, and laid-back romance later, Kate and Ryan found themselves back at Red Lobster for date night. The seafood was fresh, the biscuits were fluffy, and it was… the middle of the week? The date was great, and when Kate was laid back on the couch to watch television that night, she couldn’t help but wonder why they’d done a mid-week date night. Or why Ryan was still in his jeans instead of something comfier. She made a comment, just something small, suggesting Ryan change so he wasn’t stuck in rough denim.
So he disappeared to change.
And then he came back.
With a ring.
When Kate and Ryan told us about their engagement story, all we could think is that it suited them perfectly. They’re laid back and love to have a good time, joking kindheartedly the entire time we were working with them. Kate showed up to the desert photoshoot in a stunning red dress, and she looked amazing! The sun was setting, but there was no lack of warmth, not with the way Kate and Ryan look at each other with such tenderness and care. Their eyes lit up with love for one another almost more than the setting sun lit up the jumping cacti. That might sound like an exaggeration, but… just look at them!
A red dress in the desert sounds like something you’d see in a music video rather than a lighthearted engagement shoot, but that’s what outfit changes are for! Kate and Ryan morphed from a classy couple to dangerous desert dandies, complete with rockin’ outfits. The upbeat chemistry these two share made the shoot even more fun than the ensembles they were wearing.
We can’t wait to see what happens next.
